AMD with new Mobile Chip for Notebooks

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) has announced to launch mobile Athlon 64-bit processors for thin and light notebooks.

The new AMD 64 3000+ processor will offer Enhanced Virus Protection to users after they enable their notebook with Microsoft’s Windows XP Service Pack 2 update, which will help to prevent the spread of viruses.

The chip is available in the market and its priced at $241 per 1000 units.
