Yes, you read it right. Now you can send free SMSes from your PC to the mobile phone. Chikka, a small and handy application from Indiatimes enables you to do so.

You can send SMS anywhere in India and many other service provider’s internationally, free of cost. But there’s always a catch. You cannot send more than 30 SMSes per day across India. The messages that can be sent to various international service providers also varies.
