Toshiba announced that they will be launching a HD DVD recorder, RD-AV1 on July 14. Wait, it has a 1TB of disk space (which will take some time to fill up), 1080p HDMI output, TV tuner for Hi-Vision (Japanese version of Hi-Def), analog tuner and HD-DVD recorder which can burn up to 15GB of data on a single layer media or 30 gigs on the dual one. It will be launching in Japan at a price tag of around $3500.
