JeTrix

Fed up of your inkjet that churns a handful number of prints. Fret not! Here is the technology that can print 1000 ppm. Yes, we are not exaggerating, but the truth that the guys at Flamingo Electronics, Singapore are working on.

The concept is codenamed as the JeTrix, which delivers a print speed of 1,000 pages per minute (ppm). This is by far compared with current inkjet speeds of approximately 30ppm. This will be achieved with a print head as large as the media. Hence no need of printheads moving back and forth. The printhead would emit light on the paper that would give out pixels of ink via 56,000 nozzles.

This would be highly beneficial to industries that require high-speed printing. The JeTrix project is currently still in the pilot stage but expect it to hit the retail two years from now.
