Nokia announces four Supernova phones

June 27, 2008 By Kunal Gangar Leave a Comment

Fashionistas have formed a unique niche and keeping that in mind, Nokia rolls out SuperNova range just to keep them happy. Four devices make an entry in this range – 7610, 7510, 7310 and 7210. All the phones are Xpress-On compatible which means that a user can give a facial makeover anytime he wants with the Xpress-On covers. Starting with the biggest, the 7610 Supernova has a slider form factor with dual color finish. On the specifications front, it boasts a 3.2 megapixel camera with LED flash and 8X digital zoom. Apart from the aesthetic appeal, it concentrates on music and has a music dedicated key, MP3 player, Music Store and FM Radio. TV-Out functionality is also included. It will be retailing from Q3 2008 at a price of EUR 225 (USD354).

Next in the line is 7510 Supernova clamshell phone. This one also supports Xpress-On covers and has integrated a ‘push to open’ key. Features wise, it lowers the bar with a 2 megapixel camera with NIPS, LED flash and 4X zoom. A-GPS support makes the cut in this one with other features like FM Radio, MP3 Player and Music Store. Interested ones can get this device in the last quarter of this year at a price of EUR 180 (USD283).

The siblings, Nokia 7210 & 7310 Supernova have few differences between them. Though they both have a 2 megapixel sensor, a FM Radio and MP3 player, 7310 sets itself apart with its TV-Out compatibility and MyNokia SMS based education Service while 7210 gives way to one touch access to Flickr.

7310 will release soon as Q2 2008 is coming to an end and is expected to retail at EUR 155 (USD244). 7210 will come in Q3 2008 with a price tag of EUR 120 (USD189).

All the phones run on Series 40 platform and 7610/7510 are quadband while the other two support tri-band networks.
