Microsoft has made its rumored SideWinder X6 keyboard official. Catering to the gamers, Microsoft says that they have built this keyboard from scratch with keeping gamers in mind. The detachable keypad functions as a number pad in normal mode but turns itself to a powerful macro pad while in gaming mode. 90 macro commands can be saved per game. Other features include two color backlighting, multimedia keys, knobs to control volume and backlight, cruise control and quick launch key for Vista games explorer.

Microsoft also launched the SideWinder X5 mouse supporting sensitivity of up to 2000 dpi. It is a nine-button mouse with five customizable buttons, vertical side buttons and quick launch for Vista games explorer.

Both the peripherals will be commercially available from September but can pre-ordered from Amazon at a price of $80 and $60.
