Digital Imaging Systems (DIS) have come up with their latest creation which can immensely help to fuel the war for highest megapixel camera phone. They have announced the availability of a 9-megapixel camera module (CMOS), DIS6931 at the Photokina exhibition in Germany which can shoot at a max resolution of 3488 x 2616 pixels and boasts features like autofocus, mechanical shutter, ND-filter with actuators and capable of recording videos at 720p.

The pre-production samples are available now with volume production scheduled to commence at the end of this year.
