Asus has been seriously making everyone’s head turn with the slew of their latest offerings. Now take this one for instance. G71 is a mammoth which is the world’s first notebook to come with Intel Core 2 Extreme processor QX9300. Handling the high-end graphics also won’t cause much problems as it integrates NVIDIA GeForce 9700M GT card with 512MB GDDR3 memory. It has a 17-inch display with Crystal Shine technology and a response time of 8ms. On the memory front, it boasts capacity up to 4GB and has dual hard drive bays for 1TB storage (500GB X 2).
Gamers can also benefit from Asus’s Direct Console 2.0 which is an all-in-one gaming control interface. It allows the user to overclock his notebook according to the usage, launch games with hotkeys, aesthetically pleasing lighting and support for in-game commands. The DC 2.0 has a Direct Messenger which only supports MSN IDs for chatting and e-mailing.
Other multimedia features present are Dolby support, Altec Lansing speakers, 2 megapixel webcam and support for Asus Eee gaming sticks.
