Please welcome a totally absurd rule from the UK Government. In a bid to counter terrorism and other illegal activities, the government has pressed for a new rule in which a customer has to show his Passport or any other Official ID to buy a number. This will be a nationwide register which will have all the details of the 72 million mobile phone users. The most affected lot from this decision will be prepaid users filling more than 50 percent of the subscriber base as they won’t be able to use the phone discreetly because of the mandatory registration.

But the point is a wrongdoer will find his means eventually so spending time, money and effort on such a directory makes sense? I don’t think so.
