Alienware announced a gigantic 17-inch notebook, M17. Just like their every notebook, this one also handles gaming but with double the power. They have chosen to integrate two AMD ATI Radeon 3870 HD cards which makes it the first notebook to support CrossFireX technology. CrossFireX technology is equivalent to nVidia’s Hybrid SLI that allows a computer to use two or more graphic cards together for more performance. With CrossFireX enabled, M17 can harness 80% more performance over a single GPU M17 notebook.

Rest of the specifications include processor choices of Intel Core 2 Extreme Quad/Core 2/Core 2 Extreme/Core 2 Quad, up to 4GB RAM, up to 500GB HDD with RAID 0 and 1 support, Blu-Ray burner, Wi-Fi Draft N, Windows Vista and optional illuminated keyboard.

However, with performance comes price. The basic single GPU M17 starts with $1400 and goes to $3900 for the highest config packing in all your multimedia needs.
