Wii users in Japan will now be able to upload and print their images from their Photo channel thanks to a deal struck between Nintendo and Fujifilm. The details about the service are pretty scarce right now but we reckon this function will be enabled after a firmware update. This new service will also enable users to print their Miis on a business card.

We have seen different versions of motion sensing controllers trying to mimick Wii style gaming. But Ultimotion from Jakks Pacific not only enables play like Wii but has also got its own version of Wii Sport. Unlike Wii, this is not a console but is something like ‘plug n play’ which fires up the games as soon as it is attached to the TV. Included games are bowling, golf, tennis, baseball and football each included with an accessory of its own for more realistic feeling.
Available at Amazon for $75.

As I am moaning on my Wii’s death in just a month, news from the stateside comes that it has surpassed sales of all the current gen consoles to take the throne of the highest selling console. According to NPD figures, Nintendo sold 666,000 units alone in June and around 11 million units since its launch. It is a commendable feat because it managed to overtake Xbox 360 considering it had a year early head start.
The reason behind this huge success of Wii is because of its target market. Nintendo targeted the casual gamers who are available in abundance while PS3 and Xbox 360 went for the niche hardcore ones. Ok, we know that already and it doesn’t matter much now as Nintendo is the one who is raking in more moolah than its competitors.

Sony Computer Entertainment has rolled up its sleeves against the recent price cut for Xbox and announced that its 80GB PS3 will now cost $399. This move will directly take a shot against 60GB Xbox360 which bears a lower price. So what about the 40GB variant? Well, this time they don’t follow Microsoft’s footsteps. In fact Sony has decided to stop producing it.

Nintendo will be unveiling their special E3 fireworks today. But yesterday as Microsoft was gearing up for their conference, Nintendo decided to poke around a bit and send us a teaser. They announced Motion Plus addon for Wiimote which clings at the bottom enabling the Wiimote to gain more accuracy in the motion sensing department. Motion Plus has an integrated accelerometer which detects the movement the players make with their wrist or arm and is rendered identically in real time on the screen, providing a true 1:1 response in their game play.
Pricing is not known but the trailer seems good so the whole movie will be promising too? We’ll find out at the E3 briefing today.
