    Asus R2E

With the boom in the demand of small sized notebooks in India, Asus reckons it’s the best time to launch its 7-inch UMPC, R2E. But with the price (Rs. 64900) R2E will be retailing, there won’t be a rush for the buyers to buy this one. Some of the highlights include touch sensitive display, GPS, SunRead LCD for a clear view in direct sunlight, Bluetooth 2.0, 1.3 megapixel camera and bundled USB keyboard.

Asus Eee PC with a larger keyboard coming soon?

    1st July 2008

Asus Eee PC is small, compact but its keyboard is a pain. Users have often complained about the small keys and it seems Asus has taken the issue seriously. According to the reports, Asus is working on a new model which will have an 8.9-inch display, a big keyboard fitted in the Asus Eee PC 1000 body. The models 904 and 905 will run Atom processor and we reckon the difference in the model number will be due to the selection of Linux or Windows. Nothing is confirmed by the Taiwanese maker but the progress, if it happens, will enable them to get a stronger foothold in the crowded netbook market.
