USB Flash Drive or wrecked USB Cable?

    16th July 2008

    wrecked USB Drive

Today, USB flash drives are available in different sizes and shapes. But this one takes the cake for being so unique and realistic. A wrecked looking USB cable which is in fact a USB flash drive. The procedure is simple as Evil Mad Scientist aka Windell puts out in the DIY guide but if you’re not a pro or feel lazy, you can pick yours one up from Fred who are selling this drive as HACKED! with 2GB capacity.

A USB Hub with a difference

    4th July 2008

Of the USB Hubs we have seen till date, most of them are quirkily shaped to attract customers. It became necessary for companies to make their product stand out from others because of the limited functionality a USB Hub had to offer. But the new USB Hub being sold at China’s biggest B2B website is something different. It only sports two USB ports but the important feature here is the Webkey function. Just press the center of the Hub and it opens pre-set webpage on your favorite browser. A new way to distribute press releases? Probably, yes.

    USB Neck Tie from Thanko

    23rd June 2008

Thanko’s mission: USB will rule the world one day. The mission is not yet achieved but we can tell you that Thanko is working on it. Another step towards their goal fulfillment is a Tie with USB powered fan. The fan is discreetly placed beneath the tie’s knot which cools you off as soon as it is plugged into the USB port. For all those USB deprived species, 4 AAA batteries come to the rescue. USB Neck Tie sans the battery pack costs 2980 Yen ($28) whereas with the battery pack costs 3680 Yen ($34). I am interested in this one if they bring out more designs. Are you reading this, Thanko?

    2nd January 2008

    lenovo-usb-olympics.jpg

We all know that Lenovo’s designed torch was selected for the upcoming Olympics. And to celebrate it, they already have special edition laptops up for sale. But now they are extending the line by unveiling a Olympic special USB flash drive. The available capacities are still unknown but it bears the design of the torch with the logo of the Beijing Olympics. It is a memorabilia so expect it to cost a little higher than the ones available in the market.
