Yup, if you’re game for one of the lightest ultraportable notebooks in the market, Mitsubishi will be selling these from tomorrow in Japan. Specs include: 12.1-inch WXGA (1280×800) screen, Vista Business OS, 1.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo SU9400 ULV CPU, 3GB RAM, 64GB SSD, Wi-Fi, memory card reader, LAN port and FeliCa card support. Exact price is 241,500 Yen ($2,521).

It was just in May when Psystar filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and now they have resurrected themselves promising to “battle Goliath” again. The Open(7), Psystar’s first product after the revival tries to clone Mac Pro. The super expensive Aura has got more expensive thanks to special edition put out by Motorola. They are selling the Aura Celestial Edition in order to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the moon’s landing. As with every special edition, expect this one too includes bells and whistles like the original NASA content of the landing in the form of videos, images and sound files. Every Celestial Edition Aura will also be etched with a quote “Motorola AURA Celestial Edition, Honouring the Apollo 11 mission, 20th July 1969″.

No word on the exact pricing but yea, expect to shell out a premium over Aura’s going $2000 price.

Samsung’s tough guy has found its way to India. B2100 Marine aka Xplorer will sell for Rs. 7,030 that brings in the rugged advantages to withstand dust, shock and water (up to 30mins in 1m depth). To credit its rugged abilities, the phone is compliant with IP57 and 810F military standards.

On the normal features front, the Marine has quad-GSM support, 1.8-inch screen, loudspeaker, noise cancellation, FM Radio with RDS, Bluetooth, music player, 1.3MP camera and microSD card support.

We knew Omnia II was upgradeable to Windows Mobile 6.5 but it seems Austria will be the first country to get Omnia II loaded with Windows Mobile 6.5, out of the box. The phone will be released on Austria’s A1 network by the end of September.

Omnia II was unveiled at the Communicasia last month that boasts a pretty 3.7-inch AMOLED resistive touchscreen, TouchWiz 2.0 UI, Media Gate Cubic interface, Wi-Fi, HSDPA and 32GB internal memory.

Motorola’s huge loss in the cellphone business is not news to everyone but the fact that they’ll adopt a different strategy to revive the sales is an interesting one. According to analysts, Motorola won’t be looking to take a dig at smartphone biggies like Apple or RIM but will go for the lower-end of the smartphone market. It will not have the aesthetic appeal like the RAZR phones but a mass market Android smartphone for around $300 could help them grab some market share, many believe.

Motorola is expected to bring the new devices just in time before the holiday season and will be instrumental in laying the path for Motorola’s future.

While Zune HD will need an additional accessory to pull off 720p content, Chinese company Teclast has got its C500HD that does the same thing sans any additional accessory. The PMP can play 720p videos on your large HDTVs via the integrated HDMI-out port. Additionally, the PMP takes care of varied multimedia formats including H.264 and includes a 5-inch WVGA screen and 4GB internal storage, which actually makes it impossible for one to store full movies in HD format.

Sony’s W180 and W190 point-and-shoot Cyber-shot cameras will soon grace the Indian retail stores. Those looking for a budget solution can go for a 10.1-megapixel W180 with 17x digital zoom or 12.1-megapixel W190 with 18x digital zoom. Apart from this, the other features are common like a 3x optical zoom, image stabilizer, sensitivity up to ISO3200, 2.7-inch LCD, Face Detection for up to 8 faces, Smile Shutter, Movie Tracer to take panoramic pictures and various scene modes.

The DSC-W180 and DSC-W190 will go for Rs. 8,990 and Rs. 9,990 respectively.

Microsoft will be offering a Family Pack of Windows 7 Home Premium for users having more than a single computer in their household. Though the announcement is yet to be confirmed, a bit a sleuthing of an agreement in recently leaked Home Premium build reveals it. Apparently, Microsoft will sell the packs to “Qualified Family Pack Users” where they’ll be eligible to install the OS on three different machines in the same household. The intrinsic details like pricing or availability are still under wraps but we expect it to roll out soon.

This baby has a useful Infrared Video Telephony (IRVT) feature that allows users to make video calls in the dark, for instance, when users want to show their karaoke skills live.
