Researchers at Gifu University’s Graduate School of Medicine have developed a special robot which can give a live assistance to budding doctors. The sick robot is integrated with 24 sensors in its head and body. The robot skin is made up of silicone which has the body temperature just like a human and can detect hand pressure applied to them. Touching on their pain stricken area makes them speak “That Hurts”.

At present, it is programmed with 8 medical conditions from gastroenteritis to appendicitis and the robot is capable to answer all related questions.

Developers claim the robot helps students cultivate medical examination skills, and it is being used in classes beginning this academic year. The students appreciate the robot, claiming it helps improve confidence before performing examinations on real people.
