Nokia 5500 Sport


Nokia today announced a new smartphone with extra protection. Called the Nokia 5500 Sport and is targeted at sporty people. It is a triband phone and its interface is based on Series 60. A single button serves for three purposes - phone mode to make and receive calls, music mode to listen tou your favorite music and the sports mode which has various functions like pedometer. Another outstanding feature is the text to speech which comes under the sport mode.
It helps to read out the text aloud while you are jogging or working out. It also has workout status, MP3 player and an FM Tuner. The body features stainless steel casing, splash and dust resistant shell and rubbers for extra grip. It will go on sale in the third quarter and will be priced around 300 Euros.
