Recently in Japan, McDonalds teamed up with Coca Cola to offer MP3 players as a prize for those who buy a large drink and submit a serial number which is printed on the glass. 10000 lucky chaps were shipped their winning prize with 10 pre loaded tunes. But some of them were not lucky enough because their players were infected with a variant of the QQpass spyware Trojan which collects sensitive information like username, passwords of the users. The probable reason behind this mishap is that the content was loaded with an infected PC. We are not sure but the authorities are investigating the matter. And ol’ Mac which was quick enough to react, has now setup a hotline and will offer an exchange of the infected player.
