iPhone 3G

iPhone 3G officially announced

Techtree has got some meaty report about the availability, pricing and other details of iPhone in India. According to their source, the phone will be seen first in the hands of Vodafone customers because of some 15 day advantage and this date can be anywhere in August. Only the 8GB model will be available initially at a price of Rs. 11,500 to 12,000 (Wow!!!). The price mentioned is only for the phone and excludes the data plan from the providers.

We will stick this as a rumor for the time being until the involved parties don’t declare anything officially.

UPDATE: A quick contact to the Apple PR gave us the following reply:

Thank you for your interest in iPhone 3G.
Beyond the announcement that Airtel and Vodafone will be bringing iPhone 3G to India later this year, Apple has nothing further to share at this point.
