Times of India is reporting the likely price of the iPhone 3G which will be sold in India on August 22. According to their SOURCES (which they haven’t disclosed) the 8GB iPhone 3G will cost Rs. 31,000 ($733) and 16GB to fall in between Rs. 36,000 ($851) – 37,000 ($875).

Digging more into the pricing issue, it seems that their REAL SOURCE is none other than Tech2 who received the information about the pricing. Is it just sensational journalism? We’ll soon find out but if this turns out to be true, we won’t find many takers for this hyped device. Not me, for sure.
