New SDHC card from SanDisk is 50 percent faster than its counterparts

SanDisk have achieved a breakthrough in the SDHC arena. Their newly released SanDisk Extreme III 30MB/s Edition line card can transfer data at a speed of 30MB/s. Now that’s fast considering the fastest SDHC cards in the market are able to transfer 20MB/s. The card is actually targeted at DSLR users and the first device to support it will be Nikon’s D90 DSLR.

The card will come in storage options of 4GB/8GB/16GB and is built for performance as well as endurance. The card can perform effortlessly in temperatures from -25 to 85 degrees Celsius (-13 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit). It will be selling from next month at $65 (4GB), $110 (8GB) and $180 (16GB).
